The Bachelor of Commerce degree is a three year undergraduate programme which gives students a solid foundation in a broad range of business subjects and allows them to specialise in their chosen business field in final year.
Commerce is a very flexible programme that covers all business areas before a student chooses a specialism in final year in one of the following:
Accounting
Economics
Management of Human Resources
Marketing
Management Information Systems

Year One: Accounting; Economics; Mathematics and Statistics for Business; Introduction to Marketing; Introduction to Management; Management Information Systems; Choice between a second language (Spanish, German) or Business Law
Year Two: Statistical Methods for Business; Action Marketing; Organisational Behaviour; Managerial Economics; Management Accounting; Skills for Work Life; Business Finance; Employment Relations; Macroeconomics; Information and Operations Management;
Plus two optional subjects from the following: Financial Accounting; Introduction to Financial Economics or Economics of Public Policy; Consumer Behaviour; Information Systems Management; Advanced Statistical Methods for Business; Management of Organisational Change;Quality Management
Year Three: Ireland in the Global Economy; Strategic Management; Innovation, Creativity and Enterprise

Entry Requirements
Students must present six subjects of which two must be at grade C or above at Advanced GCE (A-Level. The other subjects must be at least at grade C or above on GCSE or Advanced Subsidiary GCE (AS) papers. The six subjects must include: English, Mathematics and a language other than English.
